A Love So True

I received this very special token from two individuals which whom I had the pleasure of consulting on their plans for their July 2008 wedding. This is a shortbread cookie in replica of their wedding cake. This is a great idea. It's charming and elegant. Kudos to the Bride!

In a session viewing the wedding photos, I noticed the Groom who appeared at first, pretty much NID (Not Into Details), pretty much so. We all know that the Bride is the Showstopper of the wedding, but this groom came in at a very close second.

Overall the photos were beautiful, and it was evident of their love for one another. Not only on this day, but for days to come. Very touching as it was, the reality of it hit me. That this is what I live for. This is my passion. To make a difference assisting couples in their dreams for their day. And after all that is said and done, their complete happiness, starting with the first day of the rest of their lives.

Congratulations Guys!

In Confidence..

Good To Be Home

Greetings All!

While vacations are very necessary, there is Truly no place like home. My adventure started off with my flight from LaGuardia being delayed 5 hours. Yes folks, you read correctly, 5 hours. We arrived in Orlando shortly after 11 PM. Okay... and my flight was scheduled for a 2:33 PM departure. For two days, my equilibrium was out of whack!

But on with the show!

My family and I went to Universal Studios and Islands Of Adventure. Oh what fun.. we partied with the Blues Brothers...

They Rocked...

...and rocked!

These guys on the other hand, were both creepy and intriguing at the same time.

Actually they were a part of the Mummy Ride at Universal Studios. Could you tell? They walked up on you in a heartbeat. Two at a time towering over you, all the while staring at you with their neon green eyes. And the ride...The props. The statues. Out of this World!

Even though my time away was both refreshing and needed, there was an air of anticipation to return home. Probably because I felt that they were so Anti-Dunkin' Donuts and that Starbucks ruled the land! Anyone who knows me, know that I love Dunkins' French Vanilla coffee. More importantly with my batteries charged, and ideas brewing for the events on the horizon, I couldn't wait to get back to New York, safe and sound.

It's so good to be home...

Settin' Sails

Uh... well not exactly. Quite rightly, Jet setting. I am actually preparing for a much needed vacation. One that is two years overdue. Where am I going? To the sunny blue skies of Orlando, FL.

This will be the time to get in some serious R & R, and charge my energizer batteries in lue of events on the horizon. Such as baby showers, a wedding and a bridal show (I'll keep you posted on those events). I'm going to really try and focus on the true intent of this vacation; enjoying time with my family and pure relaxation. If there is such a thing. Also, with that in mind, I plan to travel light. Which means, no computers (can't check or respond to emails). No business calls (but I will check voicemail). Nothing remotely in the sphere of the industry (wedding shows, books, or magazines). For those of you who know me, my head is always in a book. On the interim, I will take my journal, to jot down ideas. Hey, some things never change.

I will try to get in another post before I leave the office on Saturday. Enjoy your week. Make it a great one! :-D
