Renee & Leroy

Our first wedding of the season was one of homespun love and intimacy. This was actually my first home wedding and I had a great time assisting Renee with all the details for her special day with Leroy. It was truly a learning experience and one that I would do again and again. Here is a preview of their very special day.

Congratulations Guys!

For me there is usually a feeling on sentiment whenever the clergy pronounces the couple husband and wife. As always I am faced with a renewed love for my career and wish that moments like these can last forever. Oh the joy!

Blog Love (Where is it?)

First and foremost, I would like to extend an apology to all of my readers and supporter of Memoirs for the lack of showing some BLOG LOVE. Secondly, this wedding season has started off with a bang and I am in FULL MODE. Needless to say that I am wearing many hats; consultant, planner, silk floral designer, administrative assistant, office manager, publisher (memoirs newsletter), so and so on. Unfortunately the help that I had acquired fell through. So with the search of assistance and seeing new clients where does the time go. So I am left to handle the 95% of the work, hiring on a very as needed basis (day before & day of).

With promises to add some really great posts and previews of the weddings of;

Renee & Leroy (May 16, 2009)

&

Letisha & Mark (May 23, 2009)

I sincerely thank you for your patience and continued support. It's Wedding Season! I am truly loving every minute of it and glowing in my element.

Peyton Marries Lucas (Forever and Almost Always)

This was a very beautiful and moving One Tree Hill episode. Peyton Elizabeth Sawyer finally married her one true love, Lucas Scott. I have to say that the set for this outdoor wedding was incredible. Beginning with the the foliage arch accented with ivory roses and lilies to the aisle lined with rose petals to the decorative bird cages. Very romantic.

To top it off, Haley performed the ceremony and Nate and Brooke were the attendants. It was intimate, simple, yet elegant.

I truly loved this idea and the possibilities of incorporating scenery and other creative attributes are endless.

Are you an outdoors type? What are your thoughts about this idea? Also, the music featured on tonight's episode was great as well.

Precious Little Things

I'd have to the say that this is one of the many perks of my career: The freedom, the ability to think outside the box and where creativity has no bounds. I had a so much fun designing the invitations for my Godson Jaiden's Blessing Ceremony.

Here's what I used:
3 3/4 x 8 7/8 stock paper
7/8 double faced sating blue ribbon
Tissue Paper
Color ink
Translucent Paper 8 x 11.5
Glue Gun

I started out by creating little white tee shirts out of the tissue paper. Once done, I affixed a little pearl-like decals for buttons.

I wrapped the ribbon around the stock card. I then placed the baby tees on the pre-printed stock card. I took the pre-folded paper and affixed it to the stock card and then sealed it with additional ribbon.

When I presented the invites to Jaiden's mother. She was very happy with the keepsakes. A special thank you to my big sister Joni, who by the way ROCKED as my hand model!

Take this idea and add your own to it.

Happy Planning!
